| The passenger steamer (PD) “DIESBAR” was built at the company's own shipyard in Dresden-Blasewitz in 1884 and was at the time the 37th vessel of the fleet. It was put into service on all the routes operated by the company. |
|
| The steamer is today the only paddle steamer of the fleet which is still fired by coal. Its steam engine, which was originally built for the “PD Bohemia” in 1841, is today acclaimed as the oldest operational paddle steamer engine in the world. |
