Seusslitz
The Town
Seusslitz is in the heart of the Saxon wine growing region. The small village sits at a point where the Elbe River is particularly broad and expansive. The idyllic vineyards that surround Seusslitz are ideal for casual walks or short hikes. The town is also connected by an excellent bikepath, the Elberadweg. Any stay in Seusslitz should be capped by a visit to one of the many wine taverns, where you can sample to the local produce
Sightseeing Tips
Visit the Barockschloss, an elegant little chateau originally built in 1725. It features Baroque architecture with elegant terraces, garden sculptures and well kept hedges. You may also explore the adjacent park, landscaped in a classic English style and decorated with lots of pretty flowers. Behind the chateau you will find the Heinrichsburg, a Baroque garden house that sits at the top of no less than 6 terraces.
